Dr Sarit Badiani is a Colorectal and General Surgeon working in Melbourne, Victoria . He is an advanced laparoscopic surgeon who practices minimally invasive surgery. He provides comprehensive management of colorectal cancer, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and benign colorectal conditions including haemorrhoids and complex anal fistula and a variety of common general surgery conditions . Dr Badiani completed his medical degree and early surgical training in the United Kingdom, followed by General Surgical Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Australia. He then undertook advanced subspecialty training through the bi-national ANZTBCRS (CSSANZ) Colorectal Fellowship Program, completing his fellowship years at Royal North Shore Hospital (Sydney) and Gold Coast University Hospital. He holds a public hospital appointment at the Northern Hospital in Epping with private practice at the John Fawkner Hospital, Northern Private and LaTrobe Hospital . Dr Badiani has a strong interest in education and is a Conjoint Lecturer at both the University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney. His ongoing research focuses on colorectal cancer outcomes, anastomotic leak management, and the impact of obesity and metabolic disease in colorectal surgery.
